Rodolfo Andres Postigo Carrillo, born on January 17th 1997, is a 16 year old high school Sophomore Varsity soccer player at Escuela Campo Alegre (ECA) and is also a member of the Venezuelan U18 National League “Centro Italo Venezolano” (CIV). He is primarily a Center Back, although he also plays as a Center Midfielder and a Forward.

 

Rodolfo began his soccer career with Caracas Sports Club at the age of four years old. Characterized by his power and height, (6’4 feet), he is always a threat on corner and free kicks.

 

A believer of hard work, Rodolfo has trained in some of the best soccer camps around the world; among them we can mention IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL, (Summer Camp for 3 years) and the Real Madrid Soccer Camp, Madrid Spain, (Summer Camp for 3 years).

 

Currently he plays for his high school varsity team as a Center Back, in the 2012-2013 season Rodolfo scored 6 goals in 15 games, all of them while playing Center Back. He is also a member of the Venezuelan U18 National League “Centro Italo Venezolano” soccer team; there he switches positions between Center Back, Center Midfielder and Forward. This past season he saw action in 12 games, scoring a total of 10 goals for CIV.

 

A sophomore at ECA Rodolfo is an excellent student; he stands near the top of his class, holding a 3.500 GPA. His favorite classes are history and French. He is currently preparing to take the SAT.

 

Rodolfo is the youngest child of Rodolfo Postigo Sr (Electrical Engineer and Business Man) and Claudia Carrillo de Postigo (Lawyer), Rodolfo has an older sister, Maria Victoria. Rodolfo and his family enjoy traveling together, an activity they practice quite often. The Postigo-Carrillo family are catholics.

 

Just like any other teenager, Rodolfo enjoys spending time with his friends, going to the movie theater and working out with his teammates. His favorite soccer team is Real Madrid and his favorite soccer player is Xabi Alonzo.
